Sweet Pea Farmers That Help Bring Delicious Food From Farm to Table

Wild Idea Bison

Our land and animal management practices are as close to nature’s intentions as possible. By caring for the land and giving the buffalo room to roam, the prairie is nurtured back to health. Grasses, forbs, and flowers flourish, providing a sustainable eco-system for all creatures great and small. Dan’s vision of large sweeping landscapes with roaming buffalo herds continues to grow.

Yampa Valley Farms.

We are a family run farm in Steamboat Springs, Colorado raising grass-fed and finished Scottish Highland beef  and  pastured heritage pork. All our animals are raised outdoors, free from stress, antibiotics or added hormones, on nutritious, natural diets. At Yampa Valley Farms we believe it’s important to ‘know what you eat’!

Ugly Goat Dairy.

Established in 2008, we are a small locally-owned and operated farm located 45 minutes north-east of downtown Denver.  We specialize in goat and cow milk, and dairy products (artisan cheeses, yogurt, butter, etc.).

Honeyacre Farms.

Quality healthful produce is our number one priority.  In response to health concerns, Honeyacre healthy produce is achieved naturally — we do not use any pesticide or chemical sprays on our plants or produce.  In addition,  our tomatoes are not harvested until they reach the peak of flavor and color.  The green stem is
left on as an indication of the freshness.  You can see and taste the difference.  Don’t be fooled by others, ours is truly a vined ripened tomato.

 Devries Farms.

Our friend “Teddy Bear” Bill Devries has been farming in Grand Junction for over 30 years.  He provides us with winter squash, zucchini, yellow squash, patty pan squash, sweet corn, green beans, tomatoes, okra, watermelon, and cantaloupe.

Okagawa Farms.

If you ever venture to Grand Junction this is a farm not to miss. They have a western style  produce market attached to their farm. Plus a nice view of the Mesa, Bookcliffs, and Mt. Garfield. Frank, the owner grows the most beautiful peppers you have ever seen!

Kokopelli Farms.

Brant the owner has been raising peaches in Palisade, CO since 1979. In 1991 Brant switched his entire operation to growing fruit organically. Kokopelli is a family farm operation. Brant’s sons, mother, and wife are a big part of the daily operation of this wonderful peach farm. Sweet Pea is blessed to be doing business with Kokopelli!

Sage Creations Organic Farm

is a small certified organic farm in Palisade,CO. The farm reminds me of visiting a beautiful wine vineyard in Napa Valley, Ca.,but as you drive up to her farm in Palisade you see gorgeous lavender fields. Paola, the owner is a hip farmer. Paola grows sweet cherries, cherry and grape tomatoes, heirloom tomatoes, purple and thai basil, and intense smelling lavender.

Z Orchards

is another organic farm in Palisade, CO. It reminds me of the early years of Sweet Pea’s open air produce market. Z Orchards named after Carol Zadrozny owner/ operator. From the first crops of sweet cherries, apricots and raspberries in early June to Palisade peaches mid to late summer to the fall.

located in Palisade, CO keeps Sweet Pea stocked full with homemade Palisade fruit jams. Alida, the owner is truly a genuine character, dressed to impress with her homemade apron on any occasion.
